New Merchant Center Recommendations Focus on Product Descriptions

Google has started showing new recommendations in Google Merchant Center focused on product descriptions.

These suggestions highlight additional attributes merchants could include in the description to surface more relevant information to users.

Interestingly, many of the recommended attributes aren’t currently used in Shopping feeds, which could signal preparation for future attribute expansions Google has previously hinted at.

Early observations suggest the recommendations are directionally helpful but not always accurate. In multiple cases, Google has flagged missing attributes that are already clearly present in the product description.
