Cryptocurrency Certifications Move Into Google Ads Account

Google has announced that starting February 2026, some advertisers will be able to apply for select financial and crypto related certifications directly within their Google Ads account.

The new in account application flow will cover:

  • Cryptocurrency exchanges and software wallets
  • Cryptocurrency hardware wallets
  • Cryptocurrency coin trust
  • Complex speculative financial products

The rollout will be gradual, and not all advertisers will see the new option immediately. Eligible advertisers can apply either through the Google Ads Help Center or inside Google Ads under Admin > Policy > Account.

Existing certifications and pending applications will remain unaffected during this incremental launch. Learn more about how to apply for certifications in your Google Ads account on the official Help page.
