Google Ads has added new location targeting options to Demand Gen campaigns, similar to those already available in Search campaigns. This update addresses a long-standing limitation for advertisers.
You can now explicitly choose between:
- Presence or interest
- Presence only

Previously, achieving accurate geo-targeting required manually excluding most countries and leaving only the desired ones.
With this update, the setting is available directly in the campaign interface, simplifying setup and reducing the risk of off-target traffic from outside your intended market.
