Google Tests Campaign Creation Flow With Network-First Option

A Google Ads setup screen asks, "Where do you want to run ads?" Campaign Flow options include Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, and Google Mail—with Search selected. Each option has a short description.

Google Ads is experimenting with a new version of the campaign creation flow that prompts advertisers to select their preferred advertising network before anything else.

A Google Ads setup screen asks, "Where do you want to run ads?" Campaign Flow options include Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, and Google Mail—with Search selected. Each option has a short description.

This follows a recent update where users without a predefined campaign goal were asked to choose between “All channels” or “Select individual channels.”

In this latest variation, the setup begins by letting advertisers choose where they want to advertise, such as Search, Display, YouTube, Discover, or Gmail.

Notably, creating a Standard Shopping campaign now requires selecting the Search network. Shopping is no longer offered as a standalone option.

This update was shared by Riley Slater and Adriaan Dekker.
