Google Ads’ Direct Client Communication Raises Concerns

Bia Camargo has raised concerns over direct communications from Google Ads to clients. One of her clients received an email stating, “Our diagnostic system identified an efficiency drop…” and that adjustments could be made in a five-minute technical review without increasing spending.

This unilateral outreach suggests a disconnect between Google and agency-managed accounts, complicating the agency-client relationship. 

The email’s implications raise discomfort for agencies that are expected to manage strategy and bidding decisions, yet find Google positioning itself as a direct advisor to clients.
