Google Expands “Campaign Total Budget” to Search, PMax & Shopping

Google Ads has expanded support for “campaign total budget” beyond Demand Gen and YouTube campaigns. Advertisers can now use this budgeting option in Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns.

When enabled, the campaign total budget setting aims to distribute spend evenly across the campaign duration. This allows Google to adjust delivery based on expected traffic fluctuations while keeping within the overall budget limit.

This feature is especially useful for time-bound promotions with fixed budgets, helping avoid overspend while maximizing visibility.

It builds on the recent rollout of Promotion Mode for total campaign budgets in Google Ads.
