Google has launched v19 of the Google Ads API, bringing several major updates. Advertisers must upgrade their client libraries to access new features.

Key changes include:

  • Enhanced video assets for Performance Max campaigns.
  • Removal of all feed-related entities (Feed, FeedMapping, FeedService, AdGroupFeed, etc.). Advertisers should now use assets instead.
  • Support for 9:16 portrait images in Demand Gen ads.
  • Expanded DataLinkService to update and remove YouTube DataLinks.
  • New travel targeting option with ValueRuleItineraryAdvanceBookingWindow.
  • Removal of VIDEO_OUTSTREAM support.
  • Brand guidelines for Performance Max (allowlisted accounts). Advertisers can now set the font family and colors.
  • Support for message assets via Asset.business_message_asset (allowlisted accounts).

The updated client libraries and code examples will be published next week.
