Google has launched v19 of the Google Ads API, bringing several major updates. Advertisers must upgrade their client libraries to access new features.
Key changes include:
- Enhanced video assets for Performance Max campaigns.
- Removal of all feed-related entities (Feed, FeedMapping, FeedService, AdGroupFeed, etc.). Advertisers should now use assets instead.
- Support for 9:16 portrait images in Demand Gen ads.
- Expanded DataLinkService to update and remove YouTube DataLinks.
- New travel targeting option with ValueRuleItineraryAdvanceBookingWindow.
- Removal of VIDEO_OUTSTREAM support.
- Brand guidelines for Performance Max (allowlisted accounts). Advertisers can now set the font family and colors.
- Support for message assets via Asset.business_message_asset (allowlisted accounts).
