Google Ads API v18 Introduces New Tools for Campaign Optimization

Google has announced the release of v18 of the Google Ads API, offering several new features and enhancements. To take advantage of these, developers must update their client libraries and code.

  • GenerateRecommendations: Retrieve optimized budget suggestions for Performance Max and Search campaigns.
  • Performance Max Placement Report: New report to query ad performance data by placement.
  • Search Settings Update: Developers can now specify if summary rows, total results count, and results will be included in responses.
  • Hotel and Travel Enhancements: Added segments for Hotel and Search campaigns and new support for Travel Feeds in Search Ads.
  • DataLinkService: Enables linking Google Ads accounts to creator videos for partnership ads.
  • Demographic Exclusion: Exclude demographics when using optimized targeting in Demand Gen campaigns.
