Microsoft Enforces New Consent Mode for UET

An email from Microsoft Advertising notifying MAP clients about UET Consent Enforcement changes. The email explains new data requirements for ad conformity, highlights Consent Mode advantages, lists recommended actions, and provides links for more details and support. The branding and content are clearly visible.

Microsoft will enforce its version of Consent Mode for Universal Event Tracking (UET)

Even when consent is denied, the UET tag still drops two cookies, MSPTC and MUID, and the visitor ID (vid) and session ID (sid) are redacted.

As this new enforcement rolls out, advertisers will need to adapt and ensure compliance with Microsoft’s new policies.
