Google Ads is advancing the measurement of call campaigns by integrating AI-qualified call leads. This new feature allows advertisers to optimize for more valuable leads using AI, moving beyond just call duration metrics.

Key benefits include improved lead quality through filtering out non-qualified interactions like robocalls and spam calls, smarter bidding by utilizing higher-quality conversion data, and enhanced transparency with AI-generated call summaries and tags in reports.
Call recording will be turned on by default for most users, permitting AI to evaluate call quality. However, exceptions apply for businesses in healthcare or financial services.
You can do the following:
To update the call duration threshold: Goals > Summary > Phone call leads > AI-qualified call leads > Edit > Lead qualification > Enter minimum length (seconds) > Done
To turn off call recording: Admin > Account settings > Call ads > Call recording > Off > Save
It’s currently limited to calls made within the United States and Canada.
Advertisers can manage these settings through the Google Ads interface.
