Microsoft is rolling out Copilot Checkout, a frictionless buying experience that allows users to complete purchases directly within AI-driven conversations.

While Microsoft Merchant Center (MMC) is not required to participate, product data from MMC can enhance organic Copilot Shopping results. Advertisers already using MMC may benefit from improved product visibility and AI-generated recommendations.
Copilot Checkout lets the entire path to purchase (discovery, comparison, Q&A, and transaction) happen in one place. Merchants remain the merchant of record, retaining full ownership of the transaction, customer relationship, and data.

Initial results show strong performance:
- 53% more purchases within 30 minutes for journeys that included Copilot
- 194% higher likelihood of conversion when shopping intent was present
Copilot Checkout is beginning to roll out in the U.S. on Copilot.com, with partner activation across PayPal, Shopify, and Stripe, and more retailers onboarding throughout the month.
Shopify merchants will be automatically enrolled (opt-out available), while other merchants can apply via PayPal or Stripe.
