Microsoft Ads Drops Asset-Level Reviews, Conversion Delay & Global Callouts

Microsoft Advertising has released a fresh batch of November updates designed to give advertisers more control, clarity, and campaign stability during the peak holiday season.

Asset-Level Editorial Review Now Live

Microsoft will now review each headline, description, and image individually, instead of pausing full ads for a single issue. Ads will continue running as long as they meet the minimum number of approved assets.

Advertisers also get new delivery status labels (“Some assets disapproved,” etc.) plus the ability to edit, remove, or appeal asset-level disapprovals directly in the platform.
API support is live; Editor support arrives by year-end.

A table titled "Assets" lists ad assets in Microsoft Ads with columns for status, asset name, asset ID, type, source, and policy status. With Asset-Level Reviews enabled, most assets are approved; one image asset is disapproved. An "Edit ad" button appears at the top.

Conversion Delay Insights Introduced

A new reporting column displays the time it takes to collect 90% of conversions after a click — updated daily and applicable to both online and offline conversions.
This helps advertisers understand delayed attribution and make smarter optimization decisions.

Hotel Price Ads Callouts Now Global

Callouts for Hotel Price Ads are now available worldwide in all languages, allowing travel brands to highlight perks such as free breakfast or cancellation options based on the user’s language settings.
