Google Ads has officially introduced AI Max for Search campaigns, previously known as Search Max, a new one-click feature suite that brings advanced AI-powered targeting and creative tools to Search campaigns.

Designed to help advertisers tap into new customer intent and drive better performance, AI Max combines the following AI features:
- Expanded reach using Google AI to identify high-performing queries beyond your keyword list
- Dynamic creative assets optimized in real time for user intent
- Enhanced controls like brand restrictions and geo-based ad targeting
- Improved reporting with deeper insights into asset performance and search journeys
Early tests show promising results. Advertisers using AI Max typically see a 14% increase in conversions at similar costs, with some seeing up to 27% when moving from exact/phrase match.

You’ll be able to try it soon, it’s rolling out globally in beta later this month on May 27, 2025.
