Personalized Ads Policy Change for Daily Fantasy Sports & Rummy Apps in India

Google is updating its Personalized Ads policy on March 14, 2025, allowing more flexibility for app campaigns promoting Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and Rummy apps in India.

What’s Changing?

  • Personalization Allowed: Certified advertisers will be able to run personalized ads for DFS and Rummy apps in India through Google App campaigns.
  • Policy Adjustment: The Gambling in personalized ads category will explicitly exclude these apps in India from being considered sensitive, meaning they can now use personalization.
  • Rollout Timeline:
    • March 14, 2025: Google will start allowing these ads.
    • By June 2025: All certified advertisers will have access to personalized advertising for these apps.

Important Notes:

  • Certification Required: Only certified advertisers can run these personalized ads.
  • Enforcement & Warnings: If there’s a policy violation, advertisers will receive a warning at least 7 days before any potential account suspension.

This update provides greater ad targeting opportunities for DFS and Rummy app marketers in India while maintaining Google’s compliance framework for gambling-related content.
