In the multi-source conversions beta, Google is now documenting that additional data sources can fill in missing user information like email, phone, and address in conversion events. This update, found in the help page, reveals that offline uploads supplement missing user-provided data, optimizing enhanced conversion matching when the tag records the conversion without complete user information.
Among the key updates, real-time conversion values can be adjusted with accurate financial updates from CRMs, such as restatements or finalized cart totals. Advertisers must ensure offline data is uploaded within 24 hours for optimal performance. Notably, GCLID and other fields remain ignored for matched transactions, and value updates are disabled during a 14-day trial.

The new help page section, ‘Boost your tag with additional data sources (beta),’ includes detailed use cases for enhancing measurement accuracy and adjusting conversion values.
