Google also confirmed that AI powered shopping experiences will expand beyond the U.S. to Canada, Australia, and the UK soon

UCP capabilities are expected to extend from retail-only into categories like food and travel, opening new opportunities for brands to simplify discovery and reduce friction during checkout.

The initiative reflects Google’s broader push toward more connected and agent driven shopping experiences powered by AI.
