Google has launched a new diagnostics tool for advertisers using conversions with cart data, aimed at improving cart data tracking accuracy. Initially published as a help page earlier this August, the tool is now appearing live in Google Ads accounts.

You can find it by hovering over the Status column value for the specific conversion action.

The tool monitors whether cart data is consistently sent with each purchase, checks for complete product details, and verifies if item IDs match those in Merchant Center.

A report dashboard in the Cart Data Diagnostics tool shows a "Non-matching products sold" alert at 100%. The red-highlighted section notes "Match percentage of products sold: 0.00%." A graph below displays flat lines for Cart Data Coverage and Cost of Goods Sold.

Accurate cart data supports better campaign optimization and sales reporting.
