Google is updating its Ads Transparency policy to provide more information about who is funding ads.

Starting in May 2025, Google will display the payer name used in the billing profile if it differs from the verified advertiser name. This will appear in both the My Ad Center and the Ads Transparency Center.

Advertisers should ensure their verification status is accurate before May 31 to avoid misrepresentation.

In June, advertisers can edit their payer name under the advertiser verification settings. New accounts will default to showing the payment profile name unless changed.
