Google Merchant Center has introduced a new warranty attribute for product data feeds. This attribute is now available for all products, addressing regions with regulations like Bill 29 in Canada/Quebec that require warranty information to appear in ads.
The new warranty [warranty] attribute is optional for products requiring specific information in ads or listings and is required under certain local regulations.
The sub-attributes include duration [duration], which is mandatory for products but optional for vehicles, and duration unit [duration_unit]. These features aim to meet legal requirements by specifying duration in months or years.

Previously, warranty attributes were restricted to vehicle ads in Japan. The updated help page not only introduces this broader application but also renames the old vehicle-specific warranty page to reflect its narrower focus.
