Google has introduced a new attribution feature for Demand Gen campaigns, currently in beta. This development allows advertisers to isolate and fully credit Demand Gen campaign performance similar to social platforms like Meta or TikTok.
Campaign Type Attribution isolates Demand Gen results, giving them full credit in the conversion path rather than sharing with other Google Ads campaign types like Search or Performance Max. This provides a clearer comparison with social media campaigns.

To access this feature, advertisers need data-driven attribution (DDA) active on all conversion actions and Google Ads conversion tracking or GA Ads-Preferred (standard GA4 imports are not supported). The feature can be enabled via Goals > Settings in the parent account of conversion tracking.
