Google has announced an update to the certification process for online gambling in Google Ads, set to begin in October 2026. Advertisers can soon apply for certifications directly within their Google Ads account under a new Policy > Account section.
This incremental rollout will provide the flexibility for some advertisers to apply for certifications through either the Google Ads Help Centre or their account settings. Notably, existing certifications and pending applications will remain unaffected by this change.
