Google Ads will update its Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) policy on January 11, 2027, renaming it Child Safety and moving it out of the Inappropriate Content Policy into a standalone policy.
The updated policy covers all content formats, including AI generated content, and introduces two violation categories.
Egregious Child Safety Violations include child sexual abuse material, sexualization of minors, and trafficking. These result in immediate account suspension.
Other Child Safety Violations include potentially misused content, such as nonsexual child nudity. Advertisers will receive warnings before suspension.

Advertisers should review their ads and remove noncompliant content by January 10, 2027 to avoid potential account suspension.
