Google has introduced two new metrics for Product Reporting: Product clicks and Non-product clicks.
Product clicks measure direct interactions with a product in an ad, while non-product clicks track interactions with other parts of the ad, such as store names or CTAs.
Notably, a single non-product click is recorded against every product displayed in the ad. This means that if a user clicks “Visit site” on an ad showcasing five products, it counts as one non-product click for each of the five products, potentially leading to inflated numbers.
