Google will update its Destination Mismatch policy in June 2026. This policy allows redirects from an ad’s final URL to a different domain under certain circumstances, given prior approval.

Google Allows Redirects in Ads With Prior Approval

For example, consumer packaged goods manufacturers may redirect users to a pre-approved list of retailer destinations where the advertised product is available.

This change will take effect in early July 2026 and aims to facilitate better connectivity between advertisers and users looking for products online.
