Google has officially rolled out the Merchant API, now generally available and set to replace the Content API for Shopping as the primary interface for programmatic access.

Google is sending out email notifications to users who use Content API for Shopping stating that starting August 18, 2025, Merchant API will officially replace Content API for Shopping.
You must switch to the new Merchant API version (v1) before August 18, 2026, which is when Content API for Shopping will be discontinued.
If you’re already using Merchant API (v1beta), you are required to switch to Merchant API (v1) before February 28, 2026.
