Google to Auto-Load Google Tag in GTM

Starting April 10, 2025, Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers will auto-load a Google Tag to boost the performance and reliability of Google Ads. This update aims for seamless integration and enhanced ad efficiency.

Starting April 10, if Google detects Ads or Floodlight tags on a site without a Google Tag, it will automatically load the Google Tag before processing those events (e.g., pageviews, purchases).

    This update aims to fix tracking inconsistencies without forcing changes in GTM setups. This also might help users to increase the volume of measurement data.
