You’re probably familiar with Google Tag Assistant, a Chrome extension by Google designed to help troubleshoot and resolve issues with Google Tag Manager and Google tag implementation.
For some time, this extension was marked as deprecated, but Google has since reversed that decision.
Utku Gülden discovered that Google has listened to user feedback and combined Tag Assistant Legacy and Tag Assistant Companion into a single, unified extension.
When you open Tag Assistant now, the following message appears: “No longer deprecated! We’ve listened to your feedback and are combining Tag Assistant Legacy and Tag Assistant Companion into a single extension that supports both sets of features.”
