Google to Temporarily Pause US Election Ads After Polls Close

In October 2024, Google will update its Political Content policy, temporarily pausing all ads related to US elections after polls close on November 5th, 2024. This includes ads referencing election processes or outcomes. 

The pause does not affect public information ads from government bodies overseeing the election.

Google will notify advertisers once the restriction is lifted.
