In February 2024, Google is set to update its UK Financial Services Verification policy, impacting firms registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

  • Verification for FCA-Registered Firms: Firms using public domain email addresses such as yahoo.com, outlook.com, or gmail.com for verification will now be required to add a new user to their Google Ads account. This user must have an email address that exactly matches the one registered with the FCA.
  • Requirements for Governmental Entities: Governmental entities seeking an exempt certificate must add a contact to their Google Ads account using a gov.uk email domain.
