In February 2024, Google is set to update its UK Financial Services Verification policy. The update mandates that Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-registered firms using public domain email addresses (like yahoo.com, outlook.com, and gmail.com) for verification must add a new User to their Google Ads contact list.

This new User must have an email address that exactly matches the one registered with the FCA. Additionally, governmental entities seeking an exemption certificate are required to add a contact with a gov.uk email domain as a User to their Google Ads account.
