Demand Gen’s Location and Language Settings Available at Ad Group Level

A screenshot of a Google Ads interface highlights the "Location and Language Settings" section. A caution advises setting these at the ad group level for improved targeting, showcasing options for enabling location/language targeting and device settings, emphasizing demand gen strategies.

For the first time, Demand Gen allows users to set Location and Language Settings at the Ad Group level.

When targeting a specific radius around a location, it’s still advised to use campaign-level settings. However, in other scenarios, Google recommends adjusting settings at the ad group level to ensure budgets are allocated to the most effective ads.

It’s crucial to remember that once a campaign is published, these settings are fixed and cannot be changed. Moreover, choosing location and language settings at the campaign level will override any pre-existing settings at the ad group level.

Thomas Eccel was the first to spot this new feature in Demand Gen.
