Certified Click Trackers Required for Third-Party Click Tracking

Illustration of a woman sitting on a chair using a laptop, positioned next to a large gear symbol partially encircled by a segmented ring. The design, in blue, gray, and black, subtly incorporates elements reminiscent of certified click trackers.

Google Ads will disapprove ads that use third-party click-tracking services not on their approved list. The full enforcement of this policy will be rolled out in the next 12 to 18 months.

After September 11, 2023, advertisers using click trackers for the first time must use an approved click tracker. Otherwise, their ads may be disapproved. The enforcement schedule will depend on the advertiser’s history, policy adherence, and account activity.
