Performance Max Gets Direct Video Uploads

Dario Zannoni spotted that advertisers can now upload video files directly inside “Edit assets,” bypassing YouTube or Shared library entirely.

These videos are stored in a Google-managed house channel, which offers flexibility but comes with limits: no YouTube Analytics, no remarketing lists, no editing metadata, no custom thumbnails, and no appeal options. Best practice remains uploading via your official YouTube brand channel when possible.
