Within Content Suitability settings, the brand safety Inventory Type categories have been renamed for clarity.

Although Google officially announced this rebranding in April 2026, the updated labels are now appearing in Google Ads accounts

The previous Expanded and Standard designations have been replaced with the new naming convention. The updated categories now include:

  • Maximum Inventory (formerly Expanded)
  • Moderate Inventory (formerly Standard)
  • Limited Inventory (remains unchanged)

While the names are different, the fundamental screening parameters stay the same, maintaining distinctions between varying levels of content sensitivity.
