Pickup Cost and Minimum Order Requirements in EEA Countries

Google has announced that as part of its annual product data specification update, a new pickup cost attribute will be introduced for local inventory ads. 

Beginning September 30, 2026, merchants in the United KingdomSwitzerland, and all EEA countries must provide pickup costs using the [pickupcost] and minimum order value using the [minimumorder_value] attributes for in-store products enabled for pickup.

These changes aim to facilitate accurate total costs displayed for shoppers. 

Merchants will need to adapt their listings accordingly to comply with the new requirements starting in late September 2026.
