Microsoft Advertising has announced a shift toward its REST API as the standard for future development, continuing its move away from the legacy SOAP API.
Developers have 6 months to transition, with all new features becoming REST-only on October 1, 2026. The SOAP API will be fully deprecated on January 31, 2027, though existing integrations will continue to function during the transition period.

The REST API introduces a more modern integration approach with HTTP and JSON, improved scalability, and broader language support.
