Developers Get Instant Production Access with Google Ads API’s Explorer Tier

Google is rolling out a new Explorer Access level for Google Ads API developers, giving new sign-ups faster access to production accounts without being limited to test environments.

Here’s what’s new:

  • New developers get immediate access to live serving accounts after onboarding.
  • Explorer Access allows up to 2,880 operations/day.
  • Some restrictions apply, e.g., developers can’t create new advertiser accounts or use Keyword Planner.
  • Developers can later upgrade to Basic or Standard Access for expanded functionality.
  • Existing developers remain unaffected.

This update streamlines onboarding and makes it easier for developers to start testing and building directly on real accounts.
