Starting January 23, 2025, Google Ads will clarify its policy on misrepresentation, focusing on misleading display ad designs. Ads with indistinguishable buttons or unclear functionality will no longer comply.

Enforcement will roll out over eight weeks, with a seven-day notice for violations before account suspension. Advertisers are advised to review and update ads by the deadline.
