Google is notifying merchants by email that the current Customer Reviews badge will automatically upgrade to the new Google store widget 30 days after the email is received.
The redesigned badge will emphasize your store’s rating, total reviews, and may also highlight key details like shipping and return policies. Google notes that additional features and functionality are planned for future releases.
No action is required as long as your account has store quality data. However, if you prefer not to use the new badge, you can remove the Google Customer Reviews badge code from your website.
