Google has announced an update to its Gambling and Games policy for the Republic of Ireland, effective July 1, 2026. Under this new policy, all online gambling operators must be licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI).
Advertisers will have until September 1, 2026 to complete the re-application process for certification using licenses issued by GRAI. After this date, those who do not reapply will have their certification revoked and will not be allowed to continue advertising on Google Ads.
