Ad Preview Tool Requires Assets Before Displaying the Preview

A Google Ad Preview displays four mobile screens, each showing the same "Home Tuition For Mathematics" ad with varying callout text: "1 mobile asset," "2 mobile assets," "1 top asset," and "2 top assets" highlighted.

Google is rolling out an updated Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool, now offering a more realistic simulation of how ads appear in search results.

A key addition is the new asset validation step. The tool now checks for missing assets and requires you to complete them before showing the ad preview.

This change could help ensure ad readiness but may also limit visibility into how incomplete or existing ads render in live auctions.
