Google is experimenting with a new carousel that integrates a map and images from the Business profile.
First, the ad shows a map and an image side by side but once hovered it changes to a carousel showing a map followed by images sourced from the Business profile.
Clicking the map opens Google Maps while clicking the image opens a right side panel with the business profile, which remains sticky and therefore accessible as users scroll through the search results.
How does it work?
- Clicking on the map redirects to Google Maps.
- Clicking on the image opens the sticky business profile in the right panel.
UPDATE: Have you noticed that all three ads in the image have the same Headline 2? It displays the city of the business location and was automatically added by Google, not the advertiser.
