Bing is testing a new human verification method that requires users to complete a CAPTCHA challenge before accessing search results. This is designed to ensure that users interacting with the search engine are indeed human.
The test involves a prompt that appears as “One last step” with instructions to solve a challenge and check a box labeled “Verify you are human.”

It seems that both Google and Microsoft are dealing with high traffic from AI bots, as Google introduces a similar check in August 2026.
