Google Moves Payment Verification to Account Section

Google Ads is changing where advertisers manage payment method verification by moving it to the Account section, previously called Advertiser Verification.

This section was renamed in January 2026 and now serves as a central hub for policy-related tasks such as verification and compliance status.

A computer screen displays a Google verification page with instructions to complete tasks, including confirming a payment method, in the account section. A notification indicates the page is moving to Admin.

Previously, confirming a payment method was handled separately from other verification tasks. With this update, the ‘Confirm your payment method’ step now appears under Admin > Policy > Account, bringing all verification requirements together in one location.

A computer screen shows a payment verification page asking the user to confirm their payment method with a Visa card ending in 2148, highlighting Google account payment security with Google Pay and a verified badge graphic.

The rollout is happening in phases, so account managers should check the Account verification section regularly to prevent disruptions.
