Google Ads has rolled out early beta access for Campaign Mix Experiments, which were first surfaced in January 2026 when the help page quietly went live. This feature allows advertisers to compare different campaign types.

At present, both campaigns must already exist, so it’s not yet possible to test minor setting tweaks within a single campaign. Advertisers looking to experiment with structure or bidding are advised to duplicate campaigns and adjust settings for meaningful comparisons.

Despite these limitations, the new functionality offers some of the most promising opportunities for campaign testing to date. It provides a fresh way for PPC specialists to make more informed optimization decisions.
